Freecycle that makes you go hmmmm

From a freecycler in AZ:

WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH A GROUP OF KIDS

DOING ARTS AND CRAFTS...

WE HAVE BEEN MAKING HAIR BOWS.

SOMETIMES THE KIDS CAN NOT GET THE BOW EVEN

SO WE ARE IN NEED OF A BOW MAKER---(BOWDABRA)AND SOME RIBBONS...

IF ANYONE HAS ONE COLLECTING DUST- WE CAN PUT

IT TO USE RIGHT AWAY

MK

Isn't the point of doing arts and crafts to build skills and build self confidence? With time the kids will be able to make the bows even, so what does it matter if they're not? Are you selling them? Nothing says "I'm helping at risk kids" more than putting them into child labor situations. Way to follow in Kathie Lee's footsteps!

Nasty freecycler

From a freecycler in GA:

WANTED: double electric breast pump
I've a friend in need of one so she can continue nursing when she returns to work, if anyone has one they are no longer using. Thanks!

Unless it's a hospital grade breast pump, there are diseases that can be passed through the use of a used breast pump. Either rent one, go to WIC, or see about getting one from someone you at least know the medical history of!

Interesting Freecycle

From a CA freecycle:

I have a box of barely used children's books in Icelandic. Hoping someone can
use them.
We may have some novels in Icelandic as well.

Are the children's books about Lazy Town? This is something you don't see every day, awesome!

Greedy freecycler

From an Arizona

Hello
I am looking for the following boy items:
Papasan swing, Play pen/Play yard with the changing table part and bassinet, fun bouncer with toys and lights, Double jogger by baby trends with a swivel front wheel, evenflo triumph car seat and any baby boy toys or anything else you may have for a baby boy.

I'm sorry to ask people to help but this is my second baby and well he is a surprise we didn't think we were going to have another baby so we did not keep all our baby equipment from the first one

WTF? You have a second kid unexpectedly and you expect people to provide super specific stuff for free? You've waited until you found out the sex of the baby to start worrying about how you're going to provide for it? How about stocking up on gender neutral stuff throughout the pregnancy or hitting up yard sales? I've always been one to advocate for women with standards, but this is ridiculous. I honestly doubt a kid is going to care if the swing is a papasan swing. I have the biggest urge to send you an email saying I have a double jogger, but it's not baby trend, whoops! Greedy wench.
